Hair Therapy: Part 2
Sunday, May 26, 2013 from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM (EDT)
Indianapolis, United States
Who is Anji? Indianapolis native, Angie Bigbee, is an artist and a self-proclaimed natural hair care guru. She is a licensed barber with a passion for natural hair. Anji acknowledges that for many people, learning to accept their hair it its natural state is a spiritual process that often entails "a natural journey in time." For 12 years, she has been guiding her clients through the process of reconnecting with their natural tresses. She takes pride in her ability to skillfully guide her clients through their own natural journeys, no matter where they start or desire to go with their tresses - whether it's wearing natural tresses freely, transitioning from chemicals or initiating locs. As an artist, she creates and forms styles and applies color that is uniquely suited to the individual. Equally as important, she educates her clients about the proper care and maintenance of their beautiful natural hair and locs. Anji's artistry has been featured on the runways of several shows and she has worked with many other talented artists.
Mrs. Ebony "E.Styles" Stroder has been a licensed cosmetologist for 8 years. She is very versatile, fun, trendy, innovative and knowledgable within her craft. She is, what some may consider, a multicultural hair specialist. E.Styles cares most about the longevity of a client having nice, healthy hair. She won 8 hair competitions as a student and has won 3 hair shows as a professional. Ebony is a mentor to a few cosmetology students in Indianapolis. She often teaches the importance of maintaining professionalism, proper scheduling and maintaining consistency in a product line. Her goal as a professional is to fashionably service the soulful needs of clients, as well as educating them on maintaining the health of their hair. She is an educator for the Design Essentials product line, the owner of Eclectic Peace Beauty Lounge and found of Eclectic Therapy Jewelry Line. E.Styles specializes in natural hair maintenance, ceramic phusion, hair extensions, hair cutting, hair coloring, and overall hair care.

About the Event Organizer, Felicia Yvette
This will be Felicia's third annual natural hair event in Indianapolis. She noticed that the natural hair population was growing and that there were no events catering to it. In 2010, she heard about celebrity natural hair stylist Felicia Leatherwood from Los Angeles and her Loving Your Hair With Natural Care Workshop. Felicia Yvette worked tirelessly to bring that event to Indianapolis in May of 2011. The event went so well that everyone asked for another one. In July of 2012, she brought natural hair expert, Alecia Tucker (known as AfrosNBabyHair), from Chicago.
