Event Details

Boston’s Big Data Hackspace is kicking off November 17th with its first hackathon and we’re inviting the whole community to participate!  Join us at our amazing space in the old Kendall Boiler & Tank Building (yes, THAT building) for a full day of hacking with 115 coders, 45 pizzas, and beer.

The hackathon is an all-day event where hackers build cool Big Data analytics applications that run on a Hadoop cluster. Hack/reduce provides the space, the food, the cluster and some hand-holding.

We’re pre-loading the datasets found on here: https://github.com/hackreduce/Hackathon/wiki/Datasets. If there are other data sets you’d like to work on, let us know as soon as possible so that you don’t waste half the day Saturday waiting for your data to be uploaded to the cluster.

For more details, visit: https://github.com/hackreduce/Hackathon/wiki

Brought to us by our fabulous friends at Hopper!
