hack/reduce kickoff hackathon
Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM (EST)
Boston’s Big Data Hackspace is kicking off November 17th with its first hackathon and we’re inviting the whole community to participate! Join us at our amazing space in the old Kendall Boiler & Tank Building (yes, THAT building) for a full day of hacking with 115 coders, 45 pizzas, and beer.
Brought to us by our fabulous friends at Hopper!
hack/reduce is ground zero for Boston's Big Data community; a big data clubhouse that connects developers, data scientists and domain experts across disciplines.
We'll provide a large-scale compute cluster, data sets, hands-on workshops, hackathons and a shared workspace for developing Big Data projects and helping Boston to create the talent and technologies to lead us into a big data-driven future.
hack/reduce is a non-profit 501 c3 established in partnership with the State of Massachusetts and our amazing Founding Sponsors:
Massachusetts Technology Collaborative
Bain Capital Ventures
Bessemer Venture Partners
Charles River Ventures
North Bridge Venture Partners
Foley & Lardner
With thanks to our wonderful in-kind sponsors: Brown Rudnick LLP and Turnstone.
We're a 5 minute walk from the Kendall T stop. Just take 3rd street down 3 blocks to our building on the left in the Kendall Boiler & Tank Building.
There is limited street parking around the building and a garage at 350 Kendall Street, Cambridge, MA.
