HACK//MEAT Silicon Valley

Reimagine, Prototype, & Build the Future of Meat

From June 21 – 23, Food+Tech Connect, GRACE Communications Foundation and Applegate are bringing together industry “steakholders” (farmers, butchers, processors, artisans, restaurateurs, retailers, policy advocates and non-profit leaders) with technologists, entrepreneurs and creatives to develop technologies and tools that help create a better future for meat.

This isn't your average hackathon. The challenges are meaty, so we're bringing in experts from The Design Gym and The Institute of Design at Stanford to help groups use design thinking process to break down the challenges and prototype their ideas.

Over the course of the weekend-- fueled by delicious, sustainable food and drink-- teams will self organize and develop ways to use technology to hack the business of meat.

Go to the Hack//Meat Silicon Valley website for more details and follow #hackmeat  & @foodtechconnect for the latest updates.
