This is the rescheduled event from December 7th that was rained out.
Invasive plants have negative impacts on natural habitats, so removing them is vital for a healthy watershed. Enjoy the fresh air and sunshine while helping remove non-native vegetation in an effort to restore native plants along Arroyo Sequit in Leo Carrillo State Park.
- Please wear sturdy shoes
- Long pants and a long-sleeved work shirt are strongly recommended
- Bring plenty of water and a snack
- Bring sunscreen/hat
- Be prepared to get dirty
- Gloves and tools will be provided.
Directions: Request a parking pass for the Heal the Bay/Mountains Restoration Trust restoration event at the front gate. We'll meet at the picnic benches next to the parking lot - look for an orange cone to mark the spot.
All participants must sign liability waiver forms.
This event is open to volunteers age 10 and over. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Those under 18 must have their waiver forms (also available at the event) signed by a parent or guardian as well as fill out a different State Parks waiver form.
