We are pleased to invite you to the Second Annual African Business Conference, which will be hosted by The African Business Association of the George Washington University School of Business in collaboration with the George Washington University Center for International Business Education and Research (GW-CIBER). The conference will be focused on discussing ways in which business development and employment opportunities on the continent can be promoted. The purpose of this conference is to gather all interested in the continent of Africa and hold important discussions and presentations concerning investment and entrepreneurship opportunities in Africa. This conference will bring together participants from the African business community, American political leaders, and international organizations, such as the OPIC, IMF, USAID, and IFC. The conference will give an opportunity for attendees including educators, the business community, policy leaders and students from local schools in the Washington DC area to network with one another and with the speakers.
This student-run conference will feature a series of presentations from prominent leaders from the continent and multi panel sessions covering a range of industries that will be critical to Africa’s economic success in the coming years.
The conference will be held at the George Washington University Jack Morton Auditorium, the Marvin Center Grand Ballroom, and the Continental Ballroom located near the Foggy Bottom Metro station in Washington, DC on March 23, 2013. The theme for the 2013 conference is New Emerging Economies in Africa: Developing Leaders and Managing Growth. We can be reached at:
