GW PMA Speaker Series - Applying PM skills in your Personal or Academic life
Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 5:45 PM to 6:45 PM (EDT)
Washington, D.C., DC
Jeff Toppall, PMP, will give a presentation showing how critical PM skills can be learned and applied outside of your professional work environment. Mr. Toppall will discuss how events like managing the scope of a birthday party, the mistaken delivery of an iPod, or simply having dinner after coming home from a business trip can provide some of the most profound and memorable lessons for a project manager. Life is a far better teacher than work and tends to be more interesting than the PMBOK.
Jeff Toppall's career spans 16 years of program and technical management for public and private clients on projects ranging from consumer and back office software development to infrastructure delivery for both national and international markets. He holds an M.A. in Telecommunications from George Washington University and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and History from Syracuse University. He is a Manager, Program Management with Sapient in Arlington, VA.
