Class of 2003! It's been a whopping 10 years since we proudly lost every Homecoming Week competition, infamously ended an airband with 2030, and surprisingly graduated 415 of us. So, time to hit the gym, dust off your yearbooks and decide if you really did "stay sweet" and "HAGS" all these years, but most importantly show up at our 10-Year Reunion over Thanksgiving weekend!
Please join us on Friday, November 29th from 8:00 PM - 12:00 AM at Lucie Stern Community Center's Stern Ballroom for a night of reconnecting with old friends, perhaps making new ones, and reminiscing over the most awkward years of our lives.
Schedule of events:
- 8:00 PM Cocktail hour (a.k.a. liquid ice breakers...the grown up version of Link Crew orientation)
- 9:00 PM Dance, eat, drink, hug, and take a trip down memory lane with your class of 2030
- 11:30 PM Last call!
- 12:00 AM Let the migration by cab or foot to DTPA begin! (Please find a sober ride home!)
Attire: Cocktail attire (no jeans please, let's class it up). Need examples, look here: What is cocktail attire?
Parking: Limited parking in lot between Lucie Stern and Palo Alto Jr. Museum. You can also park on Middlefield or Melville, or any surrounding neighborhood streets. If you plan on drinking, please have a sober ride lined up.
Tickets: Due to the high level of interest after the Nov. 15th deadline, ticket sales have been extended through Friday, November 29th at 6:00 PM. All tickets include beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets will now be sold at the door as well, payable by check (to Laura) or cash only. No credit cards will be accepted cause we won't have Wi-Fi.
- Red $60 - (1) general admission ticket
- Black $75 - ticket includes (5) raffle tickets that go towards ROCK program at Gunn (see "Donations" below)
- Titan Gold $100 - ticket includes (10) raffle tickets that go towards ROCK program at Gunn (see "Donations" below)
Donations: At the request of Gunn Counseling Services, raffle ticket purchases will be donated to Gunn's very own student-run program called ROCK (Reach Out Care Know). ROCK is a peer advisory group/student support group led by one of our most beloved English teachers, Paul Dunlap, that was formed in response to the events that happened at the end of the '08-'09 school year. So many of our alumnae, classmates, and current students have been affected by mental health issues which continue to result in tragedy in our community. ROCK is a group of students who are committed to listening and talking with other students about anything and everything. They are there to listen, share experiences and build a community of tolerance on campus.
Raffle: Pre-purchase raffle tickets by purchasing either the Black (5 tix) ticket, Titan Gold (10 tix) ticket, or purchase raffle tickets at the door for $5 each (CASH ONLY). We have tons of awesome raffle prizes, like SF Bulls Ice Hockey tickets, gift certificates to the PGA Superstore, Tacolicious, and Nolas, and products from our own Class of 2003 alumnae! Must be present to win.
Please forward/share this with as many classmates as possible. We look forward to celebrating 10 years of adulthood on Friday, November 29th!
