Plan to join us in sunny Florida for Winter Camp 2013! It's the perfect time to get away during school break and spend some time in the woods with your friends.There's lots to do while you enjoy cooler temperatures and fewer bugs!
Take advantage of our shorter course schedule to earn merit badges including two super cool opportunities: Engineering merit badge while taking a field trip to Busch Gardens to learn about the mechanics of roller coasters or take a trip to the Florida Aquarium and earn your Oceanography merit badge! Both trips have an extra fee to pay for the cost of transportation and admission. Plus, you earn a merit badge as part of the fun!
We also offer our popular Seminole Trail and Adventure Trail programs. Seminole Trail is custom made for first year Scouts and gets them started on the Trail to Eagle by focusing on rank requirements with the goal of earning the First Class rank in the first year. Adventure Trail is designed for more experienced campers, 14 years and older. Participants in both programs spend their entire course time at Flaming Arrow learning new skills and having fun with their friends.
To register, select the number of Scouts and adults who will attend. You may pay the entire amount at once or make progress payments for Scouts by Oct. 1, Nov. 1 and Dec. 1, if you prefer. Payments received after Dec. 1 are subject to a $25 late fee per camper. If you wish to pay by cash or check, please bring or mail your payment to the Council Service Center, 13228 N. Central Ave., Tampa, FL 33612-3462. Registration for both Busch Gardens and Florida Aquarium closes on Dec. 1.
After you have completed registering your Scouts, click the "Register" button. You will be taken to the Order form where you will complete the process. Note that we are unable to remove the email address field from the form because of requirements from our credit card processor. As a alternative, please include the email address for an adult leader who will attend Winter Camp instead.
The order form is also where you enter the merit badge and program selections for each Scout. The merit badges include the dates that each class is offered. Note that merit badges follow an afternoon/morning schedule. This means Class A will run on the afternoon of Dec. 27 and the morning of Dec. 28. Class B will run on the afternoon of Dec. 28 and the morning of Dec. 29. Class C will be held on the afternoon of Dec. 29 and the morning of Dec. 30. Early Afternoon Session classes will be held from 1:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on all three days, prior to the beginning of Class A, B and C. Both the Seminole Trail and Advendure Trail courses will run all four days. Each class has a course limit. If the class is full, please make another selection.
