Originally from central California, Chef John Allen grew up literally with food in his blood. One of his grandfathers was an accomplished firehouse cook; one of his grandmothers made the best biscuits and gravies in all the golden state. John recently completed culinary school, graduating at the top of his class, and winning numerous awards and accolades. Sous Chef Cody grew up in a farming family, where fresh natural ingredients served as the core of family meals. After working in restaurants thru his teen and early adult years, Cody enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, TX, finishing at the top of his class.

Taste Culinary Classroom | by Price Cutter
At Price Cutter, we believe that great cooking begins at the grocery store; for this reason, we have developed the Taste Culinary Classroom. Our lead chef, Chef H.J. Schumer, is dedicated to sharing his knowledge from the basics to the extraordinary, and everything in between.
Our classroom seats 16 people and features a state-of-the-art kitchen with a high-definition video system. A flat-panel TV in the room shows close-up detail so you don't miss a thing. As part of your culinary experience, you will be given samples of everything prepared, so come hungry; you won't need to get dinner on the way home! Complimentary beverages are also provided.
Taste Culinary Classroom is located inside Price Cutter at Kansas Expressway and Republic Road in Springfield.
