June 19-20, 2014 - National Leadership Forum
June 21, 2014 - Habitudes One-Day Intensive*
Theme: Adjusting the Sails: Correcting Our Course in Student Development, Charting a New Course in the Classroom
Students are different today. Are you adjusting to how they learn?
For years, we have debated on just how broken our current education system is in America. What we all agree on is—we need to do some things differently.
Our 2014 National Leadership Forum will provide the latest ideas on the changes schools, colleges, organizations and youth groups must make to stay relevant. We are planning an incredible line-up of speakers, panels, videos, interviews and activities to update you and enable you to "adjust your sails" and "chart your course" in student development. Stay tuned as we post speaker and sessions, that will include issues like:
- What changes leaders must make to cultivate internal motivation in languishing students.
- What changes educators must make in the classroom to reach the "touch screen" generation
- What changes faculty must make to spark creativity in their courses and lesson plans.
- What changes adults must make to correct our mistakes and move kids from narcissism to self-esteem.
- What changes coaches must make to kindle ambition and passion in students.
This event will be geared toward anyone who works with the next generation. We will specifically present information that is most relevant to those working with High School and College aged Students, however everyone is welcome to attend. Bring a team from your school or department and soak in every moment.
Note: In addition to the National Leadership Forum, Growing Leaders is hosting a One Day Habitudes Intensive the following day, Saturday, June 21st. Additional registration is required.
