Great Cloth Diaper Change 2015 **World Record Attempt**
- Family & Education
- Sioux Falls Lutheran School, Sioux Falls SD
Cloth diapers have come a long way in past 10 years, and once again it’s time to stand up and be noticed. Celebrate Earth Day by joining the North American and International cloth diaper community on April 21st, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. PST (11:00 a.m. CST) to set the world record for the most cloth diapers changed simultaneously!
**Note: Diaper changers MUST be 18 or older to participate! This is part of Guiness World Records requirements to be counted toward the record****
Registration at Elegant Mommy in Sioux Falls will begin at 10:00 a.m. CST, with the simultaneous diaper change happening at 11:00 a.m. After the change we will have an outdoor BBQ if the weather permits. If not, we will have some indoor fun!
The event was begun by the Real Diaper Association. From their website:
"The Real Diaper Association, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, provides support and education to parents all across North America for the use of simple, reusable cloth diapers. The goal of the Real Diaper Association is to put more babies in cloth diapers. To do this we aim to create a cultural shift in understanding cloth diapers-their environmental impact, their ease of use, their accessibility, and their acceptability. The Association will help parents understand that cloth diapers are real diapers."
We are also looking for eight businesses or people to help sponsor the event. For only $50, sponsors will be able to put items in our goodie bags, they can have a table at the event, be listed on our facebook page and here on our event page, and they will also get their logo on the shirts that will be made for participants. Only the first eight businesses to contact us and pay will get to be sponsors.
Older children are welcome to come as well! Additional supervision is helpful if you have a helper who can come, but we will have helpers as well!
A HUGE thank you to our event sponsors!
