*Steve Molitz:
Composer and keyboardist Steve Molitz has played over a thousand shows around the world since he started his career as a touring musician in 2000. His Los Angeles based electrorock band Particle has played all the major US festivals from Bonnaroo to Lollapalooza, and has received critical praise from Rolling Stone, CNN, and The New York Times. Their 2004 instrumental studio album (produced by Tom Rothrock) was named one of the Top Ten albums of 2004 by the Associated Press, and was later remixed by Groove Armada’s Tom Findlay. Molitz has also played hundreds of shows since 2004 as a member of Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh’s touring band, Phil Lesh & Friends. In 2005, Grateful Dead percussionist and Grammy award winning world musician Mickey Hart joined Molitz and Particle for a 30 city U.S. tour under the name Hydra. Molitz has also recorded and performed live with a wide range of top musicians spanning genres from Pop and Electronica to Rock and Americana. Highlights include performances with The Allman Brothers Band, Chris Robinson (Black Crowes), Levon Helm (The Band), Tricky, G Love, and members of The Doors, Phish, and Dave Matthews Band.

Known in part for his innovative approach to playing and programming vintage keyboards and analog synthesizers, Molitz has made several appearances at Moogfest (A Tribute to Bob Moog), and recently participated in the development and design of the latest Moog Synthesizer, the Little Phatty. He also recently completed an interview along with the likes of Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock for The Fender Rhodes Story, a forthcoming documentary about the Fender Rhodes Electric Piano. Molitz’s music has also been featured in film and television, and recent highlights include his contributions to the score and soundtrack of the forthcoming Ridley Scott film, ‘Tell-Tale’, as well as the music he wrote and recorded for the Universal video game ‘Scarface: The World Is Yours.’

*Gravity A

Developing out of a city that is inundated with musical vibrations, Gravity A exhilarates New Orleans' rich musical tapestry with their fresh, dynamic energy and innovative sound. This five years old quartet is inspired by the soulful jazz expressions and second-line fusions of their hometown, yet still draws heavily upon the eclectic possibilities of electronic progressions. Gravity A has become the torchbearer for the city's late night soundtrack featuring the unmistakable sound of true New Orleans funk, tight drum n' bass breaks and intoxicating trance. The band's unique sound is highly dependent upon the musicians' passion for live instrumentation and improvisation, which often lends itself to a rambunctious adventure grooving through sunrise. As opposed to Newton's well-known gravity b, Gravity A has taken their name from the force responsible for the cohesion and semblance of all subatomic matter. At a Gravity A show in New Orleans or beyond, this force is intense and irrefutable. The dance floor is transformed into a frenzy as the polar vibrations of Gravity A's magnetic rhythms and far-reaching frequencies resonate amongst the bopping feet, shaking hips, and smiling faces.

Gravity A has performed live sets with:
Dr. Fameus (Allen Aucoin of the Disco Biscuits); Mike Dillon (Les Claypool's Frog Brigade); Big Sam; Johnny Vidacovich (Astral Project); Tim Sullivan; Kirk Joseph (Dirty Dozen); Big Sam; Khris Royal; Michael Skinkus; Jon Gross; Michael Burkart; Billy Iuso; Tim Green (local saxaphone legend).

Gravity A has opened for/ headlined after:
Dr. Fameus (Allen Aucoin of the Disco Biscuits), Break Science, Nadis Warriors, Bonobo (live band), Ooah, Orchard Lounge, Pnuma Trio, Signal Path, EOTO (members of String Cheese Incident), Lotus, Lyrics Born, Dubconscious, Girl Talk, Breakage (UK), Marcus Intalex (UK), Freaky Flow, Rebirth Brass Band, Mike Dillon's Go-Go Jungle; Elemental Harmonics; System Obsolete; Groovesect, The Trio.

Members of Gravity A have appeared on stage with:
Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey; Robert Walter (Greyboy All-stars); James Singleton (Astral Project); The Lee Boys; Elemental Harmonics; The GK Duo; Groovesect; Brian Coogan

*Arpetrio:
Four years after their inception, Knoxville based Arpetrio is one of the fastest growing live-electronic experiences on the circuit. Described by fans as “captivating,” and “pushing the boundaries of electronica and jam music,” Arpetrio has shown they are a force to be reckoned with drawing huge crowds all over the southeast. Arpetrio combines the precision of a DJ with the vivid expression of a live band creating a fusion experience like no other. The pulsing bass beats combined with the technology of laptops and sophisticated production tools, result in the finest elements of jam, electronica, jazz-fusion, trip-hop, and psychedelic music. Gaining notoriety by sharing the stage with acts such as Shpongle, Perpetual Groove, Eliot Lipp, EOTO, RJD2, Eskmo, Future Rock, Toubab Krewe, Nosaj Thing, Signal Path, Dubconscious, U-Melt, Sub Swara, Prefuse 73, Papadosio, and Zoogma, as well as playing festivals like Trinumeral and Dexfest, Arpetrio has quickly gained speed and a fan base that is irrefutably one of the best. Audiences can feel the energy from each successive beat and swirling electronic sound. With each show, Arpetrio continues to experiment with new combinations of sounds and textures resulting in a unique experience every time. It’s a juicy jamtronica revolving around versatile structures, while being slapped around by deep improvisation, capped off with blocky arpeggiators fused into live instruments. ((Are-PET-trio))
