Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon go back a long way. There's still a bit of it planted in France, but about the best it can do these days is end up 1-2% in the blend of a more famous well-known Chateau Bordeaux. Today, the relationship is more like siblings, and Cabernet is seemingly the staid, older one while Malbec has gone on to new heights of success as Argentina's signature grape.
In this class, we'll taste a world range of Malbec and Cab so we can taste how they are the same across the planet, but also how they are different. Get ready to go deep into red Bordeaux origins.
