Join us for a free Lunch 'n Learn The Atlantic Institute, formerly known as The Nile Foundation. This free Lunch 'n Learn focuses on municipal funding assistance for business property improvements and incentives available to help businesses expand or locate in Orlando.
Jason Reynolds, Principal Planner of Orange County's Neighborhood Preservaton and Revitalization Division will describe funding assistance for costs related to opening or improving small businesses located within targeted corridors of unincorporated Orange County. Some of the eligible projects are signage for the business, exterior painting, awnings, minor landscaping, regulatory costs, and permitting costs. The BANC Program is available to businesses in unincorporated Orange County on Semoran Boulevard between State Road 408 and East Colonial Drive.
The Business Assistance Program (BAP) is a matching grant program designed to encourage small businesses to locate, expand, or redevelop in the City. BAP provides matching funds to new and expanding businesses in the City to assist in off-setting development fees, including sewer and transportation impact fees, building permit fees, and all elements of public right-of-way infrastructure within the City’s jurisdiction that may require new installation, repair, replacement, or relocation. The BAP is available City-wide.
Kim King, Business Development Assistant Manager will provide details regarding The Small Business Facade Program (SBFP) and their Business Assistance Program.
The SBFP is an economic development program designed to provide an interest free deferred loan for façade improvements to new and existing commercial property and business owners, in the City of Orlando. Eligible improvements for SBFP include painting, new doors and windows, signs, awnings, canopies, exterior lighting, landscaping, parking lot improvements, and fencing. The SBFP is available City-wide.
