Each player will play 5 Rounds of G/15. Chessboards and game clocks will be provided.
Players need to concentrate. This means you must stay QUIET!
A Tournament Director (TD) can only help you by answering questions. Please feel free to pause the game clock if you have a question about a position or a move during a game.
TOUCH MOVE RULE
If you touch a piece, you must move it, unless it is an illegal move. If you touch one of your opponent's pieces, you must take it, unless it is an illegal move.
AFTER THE GAME
AS SOON AS YOUR GAME IS OVER, please reset the board and give the TD the result of the game.
You may recieve a bye if there is an odd number of players. Play a practice game. You will get a full point whether you win the practice game or not.
We occasionally will have to add additional rounds for tiebreaks. Players will be awarded according to the tiebreak results.
AWARDS will be presented after all games are finished.
CHESS IS ABOUT HAVING FUN! It's not the end of the world if you lose a game! EVERYBODY LOSES GAMES!!! LOSING IS LEARNING. GOOD LUCK!!!
