Event Details

Two of the leading voices in the missional and new monastic movements come to Dallas to talk about their work and the trends and insights they see.  The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Elaine Heath, Co-Founder of the Missional Wisdom Foundation.

Dr. Heath said, "I look forward to discussing how they approach being unashamedly Christian in their dealings with people of other faiths."

Time magazine named author and pastor Brian McLaren one of the 25 most influential evangelicals in America. McLaren has written more than 20 books, and he is a principal figure in the Emerging Church, a Christian movement that rejects the organized and institutional church in favor of a more modern, accepting community.

Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove is an evangelical writer who connects with the broad spiritual tradition and its monastic witnesses.  As a leader in the New Monasticism movement, he speaks often about emerging Christianity to churches and conferences across the denominational spectrum.

A potluck dinner will precede their conversation and a book signing will follow.
