Google Pittsburgh presents: Red Planet!

...Its the year 20XX. Humans have colonized Mars, but power is scarce, fuel and oxygen are critical, and keeping track of the locations of both is proving challenging. Google Space Site Reliability Engineers (Space SRE) are designing and building low-power lightweight infrastructure suitable for deployment to Mars. Help save our species on the red planet, and write the waypoint selection backend code on a Raspberry Pi machine, to find the power and fuel!

Mark your calendars!

Thursday, June 27th from 5:30 - 9:00 pm.

We anticipate this event to sell out very quickly, so please RSVP!

While you build your solutions, we’ll provide you with fuel cells (Googley beverages & snacks), and give you the resources (monitor, keyboard, mouse and Raspberry Pi machine) you need to save the species. Googlers will be on hand to help you with your Red Planet solutions.

Tentative Schedule:

5:30 pm - 6:00 pm: Check-In

6:00 pm - 6:15 pm: Mingling and Snacking

6:15 pm - 6:45 pm: Welcome and Technical Overview

6:45 pm - 8:30 pm: Play the Game!

8:30 pm - 9:00 pm: Announce Winners and More Mingling

Hurry and save our Mars colony!
