Golden Gate: A Weekend Retreat on the Marin Headlands

A weekend of deep reflection at the ocean’s edge. Join Karen Maezen Miller in an introductory Zen meditation retreat for all levels of practitioners. Includes instruction in sitting, chanting and moving with mindfulness. One night, three meals included.
Please bring your own zafu or sitting bench. Chairs will be provided.
Located on the Marin Headlands just steps from the beach, NatureBridge is part of 140,000 acres of coastal parklands with magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean, delicious meals, tide pools, hiking trails and dormitory style lodging to the sound of the ocean.

What can/can't I bring to the event?
Bring your own zafu or sitting bench; bath towel and toiletries; pillow, blanket and linens (or sleeping bag); flashlight; suitable shoes, layered clothing and all-weather outerwear. Please leave unnecessary electronics at home.

What if I'm traveling from a distance and can’t bring my own bedding?
You may reserve a bedding set for $28. Reserve when completing registration, and pay NatureBridge when you arrive.
Is there a vegetarian meal option?
Yes. Please indicate your dietary preference for vegetarian or vegan meals at registration.
What meals are included?
Saturday lunch and dinner; Sunday breakfast.
Is it women-only?
No, this retreat is open to everyone.
What is the refund policy?
Reservations are fully refundable with three weeks' advance notice.

Karen Maezen Miller is a Zen priest and teacher at the Hazy Moon Zen Center in Los Angeles.
