SAN FRANCISCO, CA — 1989. A massive earthquake hits the city by the bay releasing Godzilla from his molten prison, and he’s not too happy about it.
Also unhappy is poor Emily who has been engaged to noted scientist and recluse Dr. Sertz since she was a young teen. Her new boyfriend is young Mr. Ogie who works for the shipping company, and he is not too happy either. Even more unhappy is Emily’s grandfather, Professor Wisenheimer, who may know more about Godzilla than he is letting on.
Once again it’s time for the Dark Room to literally bite off more than it can chew as we comically squeeze the wholesale destruction of our fair city onto our teeny tiny stage!!
Will Emily and Ogie find true love? Will Professor Wisenheimer reveal his secret? Will they make it to the Huey Lewis concert? And what will happen to the COIT TOWER!?!?!??
Stay tuned to your radios and come to The Dark Room Theater this September to discover the fate of San Francisco before it’s too late!!!!
GODZILLA LIVE is written and directed by Jim Fourniadis and stars Travis Eichorn, Katrina Kroetch, Dene Larson, Ralph Hoy, Jennifer Keller and Layla Rudy as GODZILLA!!!. Staged live at The Dark Room Theater, 2263 Mission St, between 18th and 19th Streets. Show runs September 6th-28th, 2013, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm.
When & Where
The Dark Room Theater was founded in 2003. Providing the Greater Bay Area (and those who visit it) with stunning live adaptations and parodies of some of our most eye/mind-catching works (The Twilight Zone, The Princess Bride, Goodfellas, Star Trek: The Way To Eden, Star Wars, and James Bond to name a few) almost nothing is off limits in the world of make-believe that is The Dark Room Theater.
The Dark Room Theater FAQ
Can I Bring In Booze?
Nope! The Dark Room Theater is an all ages venue that could be shut down if the wrong people happened to see booze inside!
Aw... But Really?
Yes... Really and for realsies.
Where Are The Restrooms?
The restrooms are located past the stage, down the hall, red doors on the left.
So, Can I Use Them During The Show?
During the majority of performances at The Dark Room Theater we ask that unless it is an emergency you use the restroom before the show begins or after it has ended. Shows almost never run longer than one hour.
The Show I REALLY Wanted To See Sold Out Online! Help What Do I Do?
Shows at The Dark Room Theater have limited seating with a slightly restricted view available at the door, once doors open. Doors tend to open 30 minutes before the show's starting time. No tickets will be sold at the door before the doors open.
What If I Call/Email/Knock On The Door/Offer A Vial Of Blood AND/OR Unborn Child?
Still the same deal as above... Please don't do the last one.
I Keep Calling The Night Of A Show Because I Have Questions, Why Won't Anyone Pick Up?
Due to how frantic things can get as we gear up for our shows we turn the ringers off generally around an hour before a night of shows begins. Also, we don't like it when shows get interrupted by phones ringing. This means that if we have shows running until 12am, the phones are off until then. You can always send in an email, which has a far better chance of being noticed.
