San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Go to the top of the world with Go Eat Give at Destination Nepal! Enjoy the finest Nepali cuisine Atlanta has to offer, at the newly opened Himalayan Spice restaurant. The food of Nepal draws influences from its neighboring India and Tibet. The multiple course buffet-style menu will feature some of the favorites enjoyed by Nepalis worldwide. Menu includes: mo mos, samosa, thukpa, saag panner, goat curry, steamed rice, naan and gulab jamun. Plenty of options for vegetarians too!
Nepali native and medical epidemiologist, Dr. Sanjeeb Sapkota, will address issues that concern Nepali community in Atlanta. Dr Sapkota is the president of Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA), an organization that provides forum and stage for the people of Nepalese origin in the United States to promote culture and heritage of Nepal.
There will also be a photographic display by Portugese photographer and author of "Turning the Wheels - Nepal," Elisabete Maisao. Ms. Maisao captures peoples’ lives, discovers new cultures and brings her experiences in photographs, whereby her work could also make a difference. While she will not be personally at the event, her photographs will be on sale online.
You will also get a chance to learn about Go Eat Give's volunteer vacations in Nepal, and how you can plan your next visit staying at a Buddhist monastary in Kathmandu, trekking through the world's highest peaks, and helping rebuild villages.
