Navigating the CDA 2.0 Assessment and Credentialing System: Supporting Professional Development Outcomes for Early Educators
Brocklin Qualls is back!...to share the council for Professional Recognition’s new system – CDA 2.0. COME to hear about CDA products and services and to discuss how the CDA credentialing system uses multiple sources of evidence to assess competency. And STAY to review CDA 2.0 policies and procedures and meet with a Council staff person to discuss your own assessment and credentialing needs.

State of the Young Child: Are Our Young Children Ready to Learn
The Orleans Parish Education Network, OPEN, will present the EDI, an assessment tool that divides important readiness skills into domains and subdomains to measure the skills our children have as they enter Kindergarten. The result is a fascinating map addressing strengths and weaknesses in various neighborhoods around New Orleans and the needs of young children and their families.
Bonus: Following the general session, OPEN staff will present Parents as First Educators, one of the programs developed to put the EDI information to work improving the success rates for children.
