Craftier Than Ever: Culpeper’s Third Annual 'Gnarly Hops and Barley Fest' Craft Beer Festival April 25, 2015
Rain or Shine
Culpeper, VA. Culpeper Renaissance Inc. (CRI) is proud to serve up its third annual beer festival this April. Over the past six months, the team has been planning the best Gnarly Hops and Barley Fest yet. Ticket holders can look forward to 8 new breweries on tap and a wide selection of mouth-watering local food. Located again in the historic Downtown Culpeper area, this craft beer festival is sure to live up to its “gnarly” name.
Taking place on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from Noon – 6:00 PM in the Spencer Street Parking Lot, the Gnarly Hops brew fest is back with live music and over 70 different beer selections. Sample Virginia and nationally brewed beers, including area favorites like Devil's Backbone, Bold Rock Hard Cider, Starr Hill, Blue Mountain, and newcomers Hardywood Park and Beer Hound. A crowd favorite from 2014, Crabbie’s also returns serving its refreshing ginger beer in a variety of flavors. A few well-known out-of-towners will be on draft, like Goose Island, Terrapin, Dogfish Head and Longtrail. CRI guarantees there will be plenty of craft beer and cider to suit anyone’s taste!
Kelsey Carlson, President of CRI, is thrilled to be the returning Chairman of Gnarly Hops and Barley Fest, “This year we’re excited to offer you even more craft brews, great local food and some rockin' live music. Our committee has been working hard to guarantee we’ll bring you an afternoon in Culpeper you won't want to miss!”
Culpeper, a Great American Main Street Award winner, also boasts delicious local eats that will be on hand to accompany the cold brews. Food from Croftburn Market, E San Thai, Piedmont Steakhouse, Uncle Elder’s BBQ and many more. Live music by Midnight Moonlight and William Walter will kick off the festivities followed by the "rockin’ new-age bluegrass" sound of Gold Top County Ramblers. Local artisans such as Le Monkey House, The Beer Lasso, The Sterling Peacock and more will be attending the event as well, presenting their unique, handcrafted goods and jewelry to festivalgoers.
