The Academy of Natural Sciences, PennFuture, the American Cities Foundation, and 350 Philly are teaming up to explore the threat of climate change and why we need to act now for the sake of our environment and our economy.

Join us to cover the who, what, when, where, and why of climate change and the opportunities it provides to expand the economy, create green jobs and preserve the planet.  Panelists will provide details about current global warming initiatives as well as state and federal legislative efforts.

Our featured speaker is the brilliant Bill McKibben, world-renowned environmentalist, author, and founder of the international climate campaign, 350.org.

Center for Environmental Policy

The goals of the Center for Environmental Policy (CEP) at The Academy of Natural Sciences are to evaluate key issues of environmental policy, facilitate dialogues and decision-making on environmental topics, and inform the public from both an academic as well as practical perspective.  The CEP will answer the need for a non-partisan, science-based organization that is capable of accessing and guiding a myriad of public and private stakeholders.

For more information on current CEP projects and initiatives, please see www.ansp.org/environmental/index.php
