Step out of your world.
Learn about and support the efforts of the Global Lives Project and shop at Sports Basement for the outdoor enthusiasts/adventurers/indoor yogis in your life!
How this works:
At 6pm, join us in the Fifth Floor West room. Bring a friend (or two!). We'll have a short presentation about the Global Lives Project and some refreshments to kick off the night. You will receive a 10% discount on every purchase you make in the store that day, and 10% of what you purchase will go to the Global Lives Project.
If you can't make it but you still want to support the Global Lives Project:
- Donate. It would not be possible for Global Lives Project to focus more effectively on hosting educational programs, organizing exhibits and video screenings, and mobilizing volunteers around the world without the support of donors like you.
- Spread the word. Tell your friends about this event or "like" the Global Lives Facebook Page.
- Watch. All of the films, shorts and raw footage, are available on the Global Lives Project's website.
- Teach. If you are a teacher who would like to use this in your classroom, contact the Education Program for materials (firstname.lastname@example.org).
When & Where
Global Lives Project
Framed by the arc of the day and conveyed through the intimacy of video, Global Lives Project (GLP) has slowly and faithfully captured 24 continuous hours in the lives of diverse individuals from around the world. GLP’s mission is to collaboratively build a video library of human life experience that reshapes how we as both producers and viewers conceive of cultures, nations and people outside of our own communities.
