Event Details

Over the last decade there has been increasing talk about Global Leadership. It is a new concept that seeks to explore the scale and the task of leadership in our increasingly connected world. This idea extends beyond those with leadership influence around the world. It encompasses the experience of all sorts of leaders as they interact with the multiple contexts and cultures. Leading in this reality requires new skills and competencies.

For this event set in the heart of London, George Fox Seminary in partnership with The London Institute for Contemporary Christianity and the Evangelical Alliance UK are bringing together some of the people who best embody and live out global leadership.

You are invited to interact with these leaders as they share their understanding of emerging trends in leadership and what they see as the defining issues and skills needed for today’s leaders.

Our presenters include:

  • Martyn Percy - Principal of Ripon College Cuddesdon and the Oxford Ministry Course
  • The Reverend David Male - Director of the Centre for Pioneer Learning in Cambridge
  • Dr. Faith Ngunjiri - Director, Lorentzsen Center for Faith and Work, & Associate Professor of Leadership and Ethics at Offutt School of Business, Concordia College
  • Dr. MaryKate Morse - Professor of Leadership and Spiritual Formation at George Fox Evangelical Seminary
  • Dr Krish Kandiah - Executive Director for Churches in Mission and England at the Evangelical Alliance UK
  • Shawn Holtzclaw - Managing Director/President of Equifax UK & Ireland

Presentations will be short and to the point, with time for conversations and questions with the speakers regarding observations from your context and specific challenges that you face as a leader.

There will be a break for lunch. Bring your own or plan to eat at one of the many places nearby.

George Fox Evangelical Seminary, London Institute for Contemporary Christianity, Evangelical Alliance (UK), Vineyard Churches

George Fox Evangelical Seminary: GFES is a multi-denominational, evangelical, university-based seminary committed to equipping women and men academically, spiritually, emotionally, and theologically for ministry in the church and world. We exist to serve the present and future church by developing students as leaders and scholars to be influencers in the Kingdom of God. By integrating spiritual formation into a historical, theological, biblical, and pastoral curriculum, students are encouraged to deepen their understanding of themselves as connected to God, the Church, and the world.

London Institute of Contemporary Christianity: LICC exists to envision and equip Christians and their churches for whole-life missionary discipleship in the world. We seek to serve them with biblical frameworks, practical resources, training and models so that they flourish as followers of Jesus and grow as whole-life disciplemaking communities.

Evangelical Alliance UK: Better Together. Working for a united Church; confident in voice; inspired for mission. One People: Uniting Christians locally, nationally and globally in our shared mission. One Voice: Speaking with confidence to government and the media to present God’s truth with grace. One Hope: Following Jesus and serving the Church – working together to see our lives and communities changed.

Vineyard Churches UK and Ireland: Vineyard Churches UK and Ireland exists to participate in the advancement of the Kingdom of God through the work of local Vineyard churches that communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and practise. We often summarise this mission as: Preach the Gospel, Plant (and develop) Churches, Change the World.
