Guest Entrepreneur: Jeff Weber
Session title : The Entrepreneurial Formula & The Risk Box
Jeff Weber has successfully gone from idea to exit with one company and is now looking to do it again with two new startups. That experience and his extensive mentoring prompted him to find an explanation as to why some people act on their ideas, while others let their ideas die. His experience and research led to his explanation; the Entrepreneurial Formula & The Risk Box. Any individual can use these tools to gauge their personal likelihood to activate as an entrepreneur. Weber will share stories of the process of launching a startup and explain how the I.D.E.A. is the integral factor of any entrepreneur.
Jeff Weber founded Technology Resource Center, Inc. (TRC), an enterprise software licensing venture servicing the education market. TRC was the first to develop a cloud based software management system for educational enterprise customers. TRC was recognized on the INC 500 Fastest Private US Companies list two years in a row in 2001 and 2002. TRC was successfully sold to a Fortune 100 company in 2006. Weber is the author of Idea to Exit: The Entrepreneurial Journey, which has won several awards in the category of entrepreneurism. Weber is an avid mentor and advisor to the next generation of entrepreneurs. He founded High Growth Illinois a grant funded effort to advise Illinois high growth potential firms, he is a mentor for Founder Institute of Silicon Valley, board member of The Big Idea Forum, and volunteer for The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurism.
