JOIN US as we explore how financial ministry partners can invest in poverty alleviation approaches that respect the inherent dignity of the poor.
Poverty alleviation is not about remaking people or communities in our image. It is about celebrating the value and purpose they already have as people bearing the image of God. But when we see extreme material poverty, it is easy to forget that God has given the poor unique gifts and abilities. As a result, our charity often unintentionally robs the materially poor of their God-given dignity.
Financial resource partners have the opportunity to fund a very different type of poverty alleviation, supporting churches and organizations that empower the poor to flourish as image-bearers. As the poor discover who God is and who He created them to be, they experience lasting change.
Rather than simply providing charity to the poor, we can unleash local churches and leaders to transform their communities from the inside out. Join us as we explore how we can respect the dignity of the poor while stewarding our God-given resources.
