 The Legend Lives On!

On May 16, 2009, the World-Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra played to a sold-out crowd in the Imperial Ballroom at the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo. The song, "Chattanooga Choo Choo", was made famous by Glenn Miller and his orchestra in 1941; and in that same year, it  received the first Gold Record ever to be awarded.

How appropriate that this famous orchestra perform at the Chattanooga Choo Choo as it celebrates its 100th birthday! Terminal Station, dedicated on December 1, 1909, still stands gloriously today and operates as a historic vacation hotel and attraction.

To continue the tradition, the Choo Choo has invited the orchestra to return for an encore performance on May 29, 2010. The venue has been moved to Grand Central Station to accommodate the many big band era afficianados across the country. But this is more than just a concert.....Bring your dancing shoes and be ready to swing on the spacious dance floor provided at Grand Central Station! From 8:00pm until 11:00pm, you can sway, swing, and dance with "In the Mood", "Moonlight Serenade", and the many other famous tunes from this well-renowned orchestra!
