Description:

Have you ever wondered how to move glass around to create beads? Do you have an idea for some jewelry that requires a really awesome focal piece? Do you just want to put a hole in the middle of a ball of glass? We will show you how in this 2.5 hour class about beads.

The foundation of the bead making process begins with the mandrel and ends with your creativity. Let us show you the proper technique to make an even and symmetrical bead of any shape or size you want. Decorate it with a myriad of colors, give it texture, make it your own.

We will begin conversations about tools, glass properties, and types of glass that will establish a solid foundation for any type of glass work you may find yourself dreaming about for the future. Many of the skills in this class serve as an introduction to painting with glass and control of line weights and making custom glass, but the primary goal of this class is to give you control over molten fluids and confidence near the flame.
