Harvest food to feed the homeless and hungry while building bridges of peace and understanding in a context of compassion

South Valley Islamic Community, Congregation Emeth, and Lincoln Glen Church cordially invite you to celebrate Father's Day with us by serving the homeless and hungry of Gilroy. All produce harvested will be delivered to St. Joseph's Family Center food pantry to feed those in need.

Bring:

  • Your family and friends. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by parents.
  • Your hard-working and fun-loving spirit, good attitude and willingness to work with others you may or may not know.
  • Loose-fitting clothes for working outdoors (temperature may reach 85˚F).
  • Working shoes (no sandals, please)
  • Hat
  • Sun screen
  • Water

We'll Provide:

  • All the strawberries and green beans you can eat while working!
  • Disposable plastic gloves
  • Cold water (limited)
  • Containers for harvesting

Plan to sign a disclaimer form upon arrival agreeing not to sue the grower if you hurt yourself or overdose on berries :-)

We look forward to serving with you soon!
