San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
0.3 CEU's available for this workshop for Rose State College Faculty
Workshop Description: This workshop provides a first exposure to the Desire2Learn (D2L) learning management system and is designed as a beginner level workshop. D2L is a tool for both online and on campus courses. Students are, increasingly, requesting that professors use D2L to post assignments, handouts, and grades in on campus courses. Participants will learn D2L basics including posting news items, making course materials available, managing the classlist, using discussions, setting up dropbox folders, and using the gradebook.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Create a news item.
2. Upload content to D2L, as well as set various restrictions for availability
3. Set up an online gradebook in D2L
4. Use D2L tools for monitoring class participation.
Before our Workshop: Before the workshop begins, please make sure you can login to D2L. If you have never logged in to D2L, please consult the online help information found on our main college website--or meet Dana Lindon-Burgett (733-7433) so she can get you logged in to the system.
FYI: After you register, there is no need to print your ticket!!
We will have a Check-In sheet using the registration list at the workshop.
