Getting Services for your Child in the Public Schools:  A Workshop for Parents of Struggling Readers and Writers

Special Education Attorney Allison B. Vrolijk will be presenting a highly interactive workshop to answer all of your questions about your rights as you advocate for your child in the public schools. Special emphasis will be placed on advocating for children with reading and writing challenges, including topics such as RTI, evaluations, goal drafting, and progress monitoring.

The International Dyslexia Association - GA Branch (IDA-GA)

The International Dyslexia Association - Georgia Branch (IDA-GA) is a non-profit, scientific and educational organization which was formed to increase public awareness of dyslexia. Our members are educators, psychologists, physicians, individuals with dyslexia, and parents who have dealt with learning disability issues within local public and private schools. With its approximate 300 members, the Georgia Branch provides an information and referral hotline, community outreach activities, the Dyslexia Dash 5K Run/Walk, yearly conferences, teacher training workshops, and e-newsletters.
