Getting Beyond “I Liked It”: Critique Methods in the Classroom

3-part series

Fridays, 10a-12pm, 600 S. Michigan Ave, 8th Floor Faculty Center

By signing up for this workshop, you are agreeing to attend ALL 3 sessions, which will meet on:

Part 1: Friday, September 26

Part 2: Friday, October 10

Part 3: Friday, October 24

How do we talk about student work in ways that engage the entire class while providing practical feedback for the individual? How do we create a learning environment that sets clear expectations and encourages respect, critical listening, and permission to take risks? What do students need early in the creative process, and what do they need in the final stages? This hands on, minds on workshop series will model a variety of critique methods and activities, all adaptable across disciplines.
