Yvonne Pierre is an award-winning writer originally from Gary, Indiana who has overcome years of childhood sexual abuse, rape and the murder of her father: life-changing events that led to self-destructive behavior at an early age. Her youngest son, now 11 years old, lives with Down syndrome and Yvonne passionately advocates for the special needs community. Her book, "The Day My Soul Cried,” is available on Amazon. She has also written, produced and directed the stage play “Then You Stand” and penned the award-winning short film, “Never Alone.” She launched “Have Ya Heard” in 2005 and hosts her own syndicated talk show, “The Yvonne Pierre Show” on Blogtalkradio.com/ypierre.

~about Girl in the Glass~
Girl in the Glass is an empowerment workshop that inspires women to trust, receive and believe in their ability to live in their truth. Women oftentimes look for validation and approval from parents, spouses, friends, etc.—forgetting to listen to their own voice. Girl in the Glass challenges women to expand their mindsets and embrace who they are meant to be. The workshops also help women strip away the labels and the ideas of what they ‘should be doing’ to uncover their pure passions and amplify that inner voice that says, ‘I can do this!’
