Calling all ARTISTS! This workshop is for YOU! Please join KAHBANG Arts as we host representatives from the Maine Arts Commission, the City of Bangor and the Commission on Cultural Development for our spring session of Get Funded: Grant Workshop for ARTISTS! This workshop will highlight spring grants offered by the Maine Arts Commission and introduce the City of Bangor’s Commission on Cultural Development to those who may be unfamiliar with their process.

  • Grant “Do’s and Don’ts.”

The presenters for this workshop are Meg Shorette, KAHBANG Arts; Kathy Ann Shaw, Maine Arts Commission; Jason Bird, City of Bangor; and Geroge Kinghorn, representative from the City of Bangor's Commission on Cultural Development.

CENTRAL GALLERY | A Space to Grow Artists

Opening in April 2014 after an extensive renovation in a long time vacant space, Central Gallery is located in the heart of downtown Bangor’s arts district at 89 Central Street.  This space features at least 12 artists per year through a series of 3 week exhibits, all opening with a reception on the first Friday of each month.  In addition to opening receptions,  Central Gallery hosts artist talks, workshops, musicians, Second Saturday receptions and other creative events throughout the year. KBA stands strongly behind its belief that galleries should be uncensored, all ages and rotate frequently to provide artists with the opportunity to find as many new audiences for their work possible.
