Genetic testing gives people the chance to learn if their breast cancer is due to an inherited gene mutation. Five to 10 percent of breast cancers in the U.S. are linked to an inherited genetic mutation. People who have a BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation have a greatly increased risk of breast cancer and (for women) ovarian cancer.
Join us on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Sister House as Kaylene Ready, Genetic Counselor from Counsyl Genetics discusses the importance of genetic testing and options for lowering the risk of breast cancer for people at high risk.
We look forward to seeing you on May 17th at 10a!
