Gender, Feminism and the Torah

Professor Ann Dolinko

Tuesdays, February 4, 11, and 18, 2014

This class will explore the relationship between the language we use to pray and our experience of spirituality. We will discuss Judith Plaskow’s seminal book Standing Again at Sinai as well as alternative Jewish liturgy from Marcia Falk and others. Participants are encouraged to read Plaskow's book (click here for a link to purchase) in preperation for discussion.

Ann Dolinko is Professor of Philosophy and Social Sciences at Shimer College. Her focus is feminist and gender perspectives on topics of culture, politics, and everyday living.
