Gardens Gone Native Tour 2014

Gardens Gone Native is a free, self-guided tour featuring 21 home gardens in and around the greater Sacramento area. Gardens are comprised of at least 50% California Native plants. Participants will be inspired by a variety of gardens that showcase the beauty, versatility, and hardiness of native plants as well as their role in water efficient landscapes. A diversity of garden styles can be viewed, including: small city lots to large semi-rural parcels, professional and homeowner designs, and hundreds of native plant species.

The mission of CNPS is to increase understanding and appreciation of California’s native plants and to conserve them and their natural habitats, through education, science, advocacy, horticulture and land stewardship. The Sacramento Valley Chapter of the California Native Plant Society serves Sacramento, Yolo, Colusa, Sutter, and Yuba Counties, and parts of Placer and San Joaquin Counties.
