The NOCCA Institute and the Lupin Foundation invite you to one of the best parties in a city known for its parties: ART & SOUL! Proceeds from ART & SOUL benefit the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), Louisiana’s arts conservatory for high school students.

ART & SOUL 2012 will take place Sunday, May 20 at NOCCA, located at 2800 Chartres Street in New Orleans’ historic Faubourg Marigny.  The ART & SOUL Gala runs from 7:00 – 10:00pm. Gala guests will be treated to a dinner buffet, open bar, live music by Sasha Masakowski & Musical Playground, the NOCCA Alumni All-Stars, and special performances byNOCCA’s Clasical Music, Jazz, Musical Theatre, and Vocal Music students.

A popular feature of the event is a fabulous silent auction, featuring outstanding artwork, great vacation packages, home furnishings, jewelry, an array of gift certificates, and much more. Guests will also have the opportunity to shop in the brand-new NOCCA Marketplace, offering books, visual art, CDs, gourmet food items, and other merchandise created by NOCCA students, alumni, and faculty!

Throughout the evening, guests will also enjoy food prepared by the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, beverages bySazerac Company, Inc. and Republic Beverage Company, sangria by Chef Dana D’Anzi Tuohy, and specialty drinks by Plum Street Snowballs.

The NOCCA Institute

The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) is a world-class educational institution that has been changing the lives of young people since 1973. Every year, this professional arts training center provides intensive instruction in Classical Music, Creative Writing, Culinary Arts, Dance, Drama, Jazz, Media Arts, Musical Theatre, Theatre Design, Vocal Music, Visual Arts, and academics to students from public, private, and parochial schools across Louisiana. Students attend via schoolday, after-school, weekend, and summer sessions. Admission to NOCCA is by audition, and there is no tuition.

The NOCCA Institute provides supplemental funding for NOCCA students and advocacy for NOCCA’s world-class program. Some of the Institute’s more notable endeavors include: a year-round Financial Aid Program, an Artists-in-Residence Programcapital campaigns for NOCCA’s state-of-the-art campus, and numerous arts programs for the general public.
