FutureCoast? at SAAM
Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
There’s a lot we don’t know about our possible futures, but one thing we do: it’s got a software glitch in it, in the voicemail system, which sends their voicemails back to our time. As futurismo objects called chronofacts. Huh. Weird!
One is going to appear near the Smithsonian American Art Museum, so we're organizing a hunting party – guided by the people who want them found and decoded.
FutureCoast is an imaginative exercise in “futurethinking” – visualizing possibly climate-changed futures. It’s also a creative challenge to tell future stories in a voicemail!
Where: Smithsonian American Art Museum, 8th and G Streets, NW Washington, DC. Meet in the G Street lobby
Time: Meet promptly at 11 am for chronofact hunting. Workshop goes until 2 pm
