Are you asking yourself...
When should we start planning for college?
Is my child taking the right classes?
Are they challenging enough?
What are today's colleges looking for in a student?
To which kind of school should my child apply?
Should she start at a small college and then transfer?
Should he attend a traditional school or take online courses?
Will the HOPE Grant help pay for my child's education?
These are all valid questions – and ones that may be on your mind right now.
Many parents struggle with how to help their middle or high school student prepare for a life beyond high school. You've guided them this far – What other things can you do to ensure they choose the right post-secondary path?
This forum is designed to help middle and high school parents learn about the many opportunities awaiting their children after graduation and how to prepare them today. Representatives from several of metro Atlanta's top colleges and universities will explain the college admissions process and other entry requirements through a panel discussion.
Following the panel discussion, parents can attend small group, break-out sessions with other organizations to learn about classes and other courses your child should take to prepare for a successful post-secondary experience. Students are not excluded from this event, but the information is targeted toward parents and guardians.
