“FunkJazz Kafé: Diary Of A Decade” Returns To Atlanta - July 12th
Friday, July 12, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Here’s a rare opportunity to learn, interact and be inspired by having the full FunkJazz Kafé experience! July 12th, see the award winning music documentary film, “FunkJazz Kafé: Diary Of A Decade (The Story Of A Movement)” at Southwest Arts Center (915 New Hope Rd.), 7pm.
This screening will include music, vendors and artists displays in the art gallery. A Q&A with the film’s writer and director/FunkJazz Kafé creator, Jason Orr, will follow the movie. Where else can you learn about a music festival’s history then experience in full the next day? This has never been done before and will certainly be exciting!
Legendary author, Alice Walker (The Color Purple) recently saw “FunkJazz Kafé: Diary Of A Decade (The Story Of A Movement)” in Oakland and had this to say….. “I LOVED IT! WHAT I LOVED WAS THE SPIRIT OF BLACK PEOPLE, NEVER TO STAY DOWN, ALWAYS TO COME BACK FROM RUIN WITH SOMETHING FRESH, FUNKY, AMUSING AND STRONG.” - Alice Walker
