Fundamentals of Photography: The Landscape with Hernan Godoy

Hernan has been photographing nature and the landscape in the California Sierra for the last twelve years and has been involved in the photographic industry for the past thirty years. Come join this award winning photographer as he shares his creative spin on the modern landscape.
In this lecture Hernan will explore three elements that are crucial to producing a fine photograph, along with discussing techniques such as composition, use of color versus black and white, lighting, choosing the best time of day to shoot, locations and tools to consider (lenses, filters, tripods, etc.).

What to Bring:
Bring a notebook and pen. You may want to bring your camera so you may follow along with suggested settings and menu options etc.
Optional: Bring one of your landscape photographs for a brief group critique at the end of class.
Beginner to Intermediate: Attendee should be familiar with the basic functions and menus of their camera

This 3 hour hands-on photo class is a part of a series of fundamental classes that will teach you the building blocks of photography. (A select number of these courses will be offered on occasion at our Santa Ana store depending on their popularity.)
