Do you dream of coffee mugs in the shape of fruits and vegetables; dinner plates that are mismatched (but quirky fun!) in odd sizes shapes and colors; vases, teapots and other traditionally useful items made of clay that are also sculptural works of art? Fear not! You aren't having nightmares, you are simply an artist waiting to express yourself in clay.
Let your imagination run wild. Bring your own ideas or be inspired by your fellow students and teacher, and by the images surrounding you out in the world & on every wall in our studio! This class is open to all levels, students will be encouraged to use hand building techniques, the potters wheel, or a combination of both. If you can imagine it, Anne can help you figure out how to build it and even make it still functional, if you so desire.
Students will create one series of projects in three classes and begin glazing in the fourth class.
