Kirk McHenry (B.E.T., Opened for Charlie Murphy):
Born and raised in Oakland. Kirk has experienced a wealth of knowledge from life in the inner city, prep school in the suburbs, college life in the south and even a successful four-year stint in the Marine Corps. Always viewing life through the eyes of a comic, Kirk blends all of his life experiences together into a storytelling brand of comedy that has been likened to Bill Cosby with a Richard Pryor twist. Having already opened for such stars as Paul Mooney, Damon Wayans, Bobby Slayton, Tommy Davidson, Charlie Murphy and the Whispers, Kirk has been labeled on of the Bay Area's fastest rising young stars and has even gained recognition as on of the top 10 comics in the Bay Area (Karma 777 Film Works & Productions).
Big Al Gonzales (Cobbs Comedy Club)
Al Gonzales is an actor, writer and comedian who has written and performed for television. Originally from San Francisco, he now lives in Los Angeles. He has produced successful comedy shows all across California and is currently a producer/writer for a new Internet talk show, "This Guy"and is a production manager in Hollywood.
MooreDevine (Improv Musical Comedy)
Andrew Moore and Spencer DeVine met doing a comedy competition at SFSU(San Francisco State University, where Andrew had dropped out from,) but it wasn't until they both were living in the comedy frat house known as the Sylvan House that the two combined their comedic workings to create MooreDevine, a sick jam factory of comedy awesomeness.
Brendan Lynch (Winner of Best Comedian in Sillicone Valley Award)
Brendan Lynch has generated a huge buzz around his act—a mix of absurdist musings, wry observation, and spot-on off-the-cuff crowd work—and is regarded by fans and the press as a must-see comedian in the Bay Area and beyond. He is a regular performer at The San Francisco Punchline, The San Jose Improv and Cobb's Comedy Club, and has performed at SF SketchFest, The San Francisco Comedy and Burrito Festival and The Great American Comedy Festival. In 2013, Brendan was named one of the "Best San Francisco Comedians To Watch" by SF Weekly and in 2014 was named "Best Comedian In Silicon Valley" by Metro Silicon Valley. Brendan was also last year's runner-up in The San Francisco International Comedy Competition, an honor shared by Marc Maron, Ellen DeGeneres and Dane Cook.
Greg Williams (Cape Fear Comedy Festival)
Greg “G” Williams is working diligently to be a breath of fresh air by taking a different path into the world of comedy. His comedic style arises from his day to day life as a male nurse. Born in Roanoke, Virginia and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina “G” joined the Army where he served for five years during Desert Storm. After leaving the Army “G” became a Registered Nurse, specializing with premature infants. After discovering life in a hospital can be hilariously entertaining, “G” developed his act in the comedy clubs of Atlanta.
Stroy Moyd (Oddball Festival with Dave Chappelle)
Recently opened for Tracy Morgan and Hannibal Buress, won the Laugh Factory Hollywood's Fresh Faces comedy competition 3 consecutive times, performed on the 'Up Next' showcase for Comedy Central, and opened up for Dave Chappell.
Ronn Vigh (NBC Last Comic Standing)
Ronn Vigh’s brash attitude and acerbic wit have earned him a comparison to a young Joan Rivers by SF Weekly. Which is a fitting comparison, since he later became a writer for E! Television’s “Fashion Police” co-hosted by Joan Rivers. He was featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing II and in 2005 started comedy night at Harvey’s and currently produces the successful “Harvey’s Funny Tuesdays” weekly comedy show in the Castro.
Shanti Charan (SF Weeklys Best Stand-Up)
Shanti Charan’s bubbly personality and contagious smile lure in audiences and her comedic abilities keeps them laughing. She is a fast-rising fresh face in the Bay Area comedy scene. Her ability to formulate quick connections makes it easy for her to communicate with diverse audiences. She won 1st place in the 2011 Rooster T Feather’s Comedy Competition. Charan was recently awarded SF Weekly’s 2012 Best Stand-Up on the Way Up. SF Weekly says Charan’s writing “is clever and confident beyond her years.”
Kristee Ono (Punchline Comedy Club)
Kristee Ono is a guilty pleasure. You really do not want your friends to know how much you actually enjoy her. She has been performing comedy for six years caring a nice little cave for herself in the San Francisco comedy scene. She has preformed at the Punchline, Cobbs and anywhere else she can. Kristee loves burritos and is dying to tell you about it. A little dark, a little weird, relatively entertaining, she will make you laugh, while also threatening your delicate sensibilities. Do not be afraid, she is more scared of you then you are of her.
