Nature's Clock. Fern Glen Phenology Trail

On Saturday, October 27th at 6:30 p.m., join Cary Institute educators and the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association for an evening of moonlight exploration.
During a leisurely walk on our internal paved roads, guests will be treated to the sights and sounds of nature at dusk. Observe the moon while listening for owls and other forest-dwelling animals. All ages are welcome to attend; long pants, hiking shoes, binoculars, and flashlights are suggested.
The walk will begin at our main campus parking area, located at 2801 Sharon Turnpike (Route 44) in Millbrook, N.Y. In the event of heavy rain, the program will be cancelled. Reservations are required.
A not-for-profit environmental research and education organization. Focal areas include air and water pollution, climate change, invasive species, and the ecological dimensions of infectious disease.
Parts of the 2,000 acre research campus have been reserved for public education and enjoyment including hiking trails and internal roadways.
