And no wonder - all too often, this annual conversation marks the only occasion where performance feedback is openly discussed, creating a ton of pressure to cram a year’s worth of observation, evaluation (and if we’re lucky) coaching. In this one-day workshop, we’ll go beyond the once-a-year process and focus on managing performance throughout an employee’s tenure. We’ll focus on helping you assess overall performance effectively, identify what individual employees are uniquely qualified to do (and effectively steer them in that direction), avoid common bias traps. We’ll discuss the methods for keeping employees motivated and practice techniques for providing timely and constructive feedback. And of course, we’ll address the aspects of the annual performance review that make us all feel uneasy so you can feel confident, authentic and present during those important conversations.
