"From Innovation to Application: New Approaches to Business Models"
Friday, July 26, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Entrepreneurship is really a team sport, not a solo effort. There are many roles that creative thinkers, innovators, and others can play in advancing research, implementing a new idea or concept, and getting it out there for testing and validation. This class focuses on tools that help get innovation out of the testing lab and into the commercial sphere, where products, technologies, and systems can make a difference in people’s lives.
The keys to any successful innovation are validating an idea’s value to the world (market and customer validation) and a model through which that value can be translated into the world (a business model). What are some of the tools that entrepreneurs can use to test their business models? What is the necessary “pre-work” entrepreneurs should use to translate their research into innovation and innovation into applications?
