is a new monthlong learning program for Pittsburgh-based artists, arts administrators, and audiences who want to make connections between dance and the rest of the world. The program cycle begins and ends on the first Friday of the month when a new choreographer is selected and the previous one presents a performance of their work. Each artist is given 80 hours at The Alloy Studios over the course of one month to research, explore, and play. During this time, the artist will collaborate across genres, invite audiences to participate in and contribute to their work, document activities, and finally share a showing on the first Friday in concurrence with Penn Ave Arts Unblurred. This month we welcome choreographer Jasmine Hearn and filmmaker Alisha B. Wormsley as our inaugural Fresh Works artists.
