Join The World is Fun at Fremont Oktoberfest! We'll be pouring over 80 different microbrews and German beers in the Tasting Garden and helping out the Fremont Chamber of Commerce at the same time.
After your shift, all volunteers will receive a ticket to Sunday's event, 7 tasting tokens of their own, and an event t-shirt! There will also be a TWIF VIP area at the event on Sunday for you to reunite with your fellow volunteers!
Fremont Oktoberfest is Seattle's Fall Tradition in the "Center of the Universe" Fremont, Washington. Voted by USA Today and Orbitz.com as one of the top places to toast Oktoberfest, this three-day festival features a Tasting Garden, two stages with live music, Sunday Dogtoberfest* activities and an Oktoberfest Village with Kids Area and 5K Run.
All for a good cause, Fremont Oktoberfest benefits the Fremont Chamber of Commerce with a portion of the proceeds going towards funding local schools, art groups, community events and promoting Fremont as the "Center of the Universe."
Shift: Saturday, September 24th from 8:30pm to 11:45pm
Age Appropriateness: This event is suitable for volunteers 21+.
Pre-Event Requirement: While most of our events do not have any pre-event requirements, this event may involve working with children and our nonprofit partner does require that all volunteers complete a background screening before their shift. To make the process easy, we will be sending you an electronic authorization form to complete prior to your volunteer shift.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: We use Eventbrite as our primary messaging system to communicate volunteer information to our volunteers after they sign up for an event. If you do not receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite upon signing up for your shift please check your spam folder and enable messages from Eventbrite. This will prevent you from missing out on crucial information regarding your upcoming volunteer shift and/or event.
We are The World Is Fun, but you can call us TWIF.
We are a Charitable Social Club in Seattle that was founded out of boredom by creative masterminds and is anchored in the desire to give back and inspire you! For nearly seven years, we’ve grown from an obsession over beards and ‘staches into a network of more than 4,500 volunteers and many local community partners devoted to giving back to Seattle.
TWIF is not your grandparents’ charitable club. We’re a charitable organization here to make volunteering a fun, social experience for Seattle people, businesses and nonprofits by creating, promoting and expanding charitable opportunities. We seek to banish the ol’ bake sale stereotype and get you excited about giving back to your community by broadening the scope of volunteerism and revamping existing charitable programs. Our mission is to remind you that volunteering is not a chore - it makes the world fun!
